Exit or Not Decision

Several of those who leave the defence services each year do so on their decision. While some of them do so after extensive research and preparation, we find an equal number who are tempted to move out based on their own perceptions of the reality outside, which may or may not match facts.

Based on our vast experience in partnering and guiding officers to make the exit decision (or not to!), we recommend talking to an expert who has walked the path in both domains and understands the current corporate landscape. These may include sharing market conditions for a first-time corporate role, which again can and will vary widely across domains and industries. It will also help you to understand different roles out there and your fit, based on experience - we categorise them as strong, medium or low fit. It can also help you understand if you should remain in service and acquire some necessary or optimal educational qualifications to land a better job when you finally make the move out.

As much as we love to empower and enable you to succeed in the corporate arena post the transition, we are equally passionate about making sure that the Indian military does not lose officers who are not yet ready for the world outside, which then becomes a ‘win-win’ for both the services and the officer.
